Android Instant Apps are now available for limited testing -

Android Instant Apps are now available for limited testingAndroid's Instant Apps were one of the most interesting things Google announced at its I/O developer conference last year, and now they're making their first steps into the wild. Google said yesterday that it was running a limited test of the technology — which can load up a bitesize version of an app without needing users to install it — for Android users ahead of a wider rollout. BuzzFeed, Periscope, Viki, and Wish are among the handful of apps included in this early trial, but Google says that it will be able to "expand the experience" once it gets more feedback from users.

Samsung is hoarding Qualcomm’s supply of Snapdragon 835 chips until Galaxy S8 releaseA report from Forbes, corroborated by The Verge today, has revealed that Samsung is grabbing the lion’s share of the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processors, and in the process forcing its competitors to use the older Snapdragon 821 chipset. Forbes indicates an April 14th release date for Samsung’s next flagship phone, the Galaxy S8, and says that no Android flagship phones released before then will feature the 835 chip. One Android manufacturer informed The Verge that it feels confident working with the 821 processor, while another argued that the 835 was always going to be too late for the annual early-spring refresh among flagship Android smartphones.
